Tackling Peculiar Health Challenges

Black Africans in Africa and the diaspora are at higher risk than others of many long term health conditions and others. This course seeks to address those risks by discussing the peculiarities of those risks and accompanying solutions for course participants and their uses. The course highlights the link between African (‘Black’) history and health as well as the cultural impact of health, in doing this it also addresses the value of traditional medicine concepts and how such may be combined with modern ‘evidence’ based concepts to greater effect than otherwise.
